International customers: If you live somewhere other than Continental America, you will have to add a shipping cost to your order. Please Add 30USD to your order. This will cover the shipping costs for express mail delivery. Unfortunately, the shipping cost is more than the print costs for non-usa customers.

The images below are from original pastel paintings. It is best to pick the smaller size print for these if you desire extreme detail. However, if you pick the 20x30in size, you will still receive a quality print on quality paper but the image resolution will not be as detailed as the smaller size. It is all a matter of personal taste.

The Images Below are digital enhancements of original pastel paintings. You can have large prints made from these and still maintain extreme detail in the resulting print. This is because the underlying image file is 300dpi and several megabytes in size, in some cases over 16megabyes jpg file. If you would like a print larger than 20x30in, please email or call me so we can discuss this possibility.

About My Web Site
This is more of a hobby than anything else. Occassionally I re-do it. This time I am using some of Yahoo's YUI framework to implement some of the pop-ups and other navigational devices. This site appears to work well in most versions of IE and FireFox. If you notice any strange bugs when navigating from one page to another, please let me know. I should emphasize that many images are loaded onto these pages;thus you need a good computer with lots of memory and processor power. This is basically a site devoted to artistic things. This is not a software site; Though I will try to use some interesting YUI widgets whenever possible. I should mention that pages containing images are generated by various java programs I have written. I cannot seem to find any products on line right now to do what I wish to do. So I have to write the programs to generate the pages.
Personal information
The most interesting things I can say about myself on a personal level mainly come from my unique past. My first career was that of a Jazz Flautist. I am still a Jazz Flutist, er , Flautist in my dreams. Dream analysis is one of my hobbies; so I mention the fact that In my dreams, I actively live the life of a jazz Flautist. Another interesting fact is where I have lived. I grew up in many places: Tennessee, Japan, Illinois, Indiana and Philadelphia. And being a black person simply adds a sort of colorful topping to some type of cake. My present job is that of a computer programmer in the financial sector.

Digitally Altered Paintings
I take the digital image of an original Pastel Painting. Then I process it thru various types of filters. The result is a completely new image. These images are capable of being blown up very large because of the size of the resultant image file, i.e over 30 megabytes in size.

Photography
This page is still undergoing changes. I plan on creating several pages containing photographs that I take using my digital camera. I am just learning how to use it and how to take photographs of people and things. This is very difficult to do. The page is in it's infancy right now and only uses simple html markup.

resolution and print medium.

Resolution

My original pastel works are photographed with a 10megapixel digital camera. I sometimes show them in galleries. The original works represent the seed that is used to create the various digital representations. I will use several original works as seed to create one abstract digital painting. The final product will be a very large jpg format file. For this reason, the digital prints can be blown up very large and still retain extreme resolution to the point of being frightening.

Print Medium

The equipment used to create the print, both hardware and print medium, is described next:

Archival, Pigment-based dyes/inks are used for color. HP Designjet Z6100, with HP Vivera Archival Inks is used to create the print. HP Premium Photographic Satin Paper is used as the paper medium for the print. Prints look best on canvas.
