resolution and print medium.
Resolution
My original pastel works are photographed with a 10megapixel digital camera. I sometimes show them in galleries. The original works represent the seed that is used to create the various digital representations. I will use several original works as seed to create one abstract digital painting. The final product will be a very large jpg format file. For this reason, the digital prints can be blown up very large and still retain extreme resolution to the point of being frightening.
Print Medium
The equipment used to create the print, both hardware and print medium, is described next:
Archival, Pigment-based dyes/inks are used for color. HP Designjet Z6100, with HP Vivera Archival Inks is used to create the print. HP Premium Photographic Satin Paper is used as the paper medium for the print. Prints look best on canvas.
